I have the folowing comments to make my detailed examination of those proposals.

崩 I. Pensions.

As regards the definition of

"personal allowance" and "house allowance"

"pensionable emoluments"/in respect of

service in the Colony, it has been suggested

adapt

that it would be desirable to adopt the

wording which will appear in the revised

edition of the Model Pensions Ordinance, and

which will be circulated shortly to all

Colonies and Dependencies, viz:-

"2(c) "Pensionable Emoluments".

(i) in respect of service in this

Colony includes salary, personal allowance

and house allowance, but does not include

duty allowance, entertainment allowance

or any other emoluments whatever", etc.

"Personal allowance" means a special

addition to salary granted personally to

the holder for the time being of the

office, but does not include such an

addition if it is granted subject to

the condition that it shall not be

pensionable.

"House allowance" means in the case

of every officer.
